Japanese Educational System

In Japan, there is 12 years of education :

-elementary education (6 years)

-secondary education (3 years + 3 years )

There are 5 types of higher educational institutions where international students can be admitted to, which are:

-Colleges of technology

-Vocational schools =professional training colleges

-Junior colleges

-Universities

-Graduate schools

These higher educational institutions are largely categorized as either national, local public or private.

Most higher educational institutions in Japan set its academic year to begin from April.  Every academic year has a 2 semester, namely the first semester (April ~ September) and second semester (October ~ March).

There are 3 holiday seasons,  summer (end July ~ early September), winter (end December ~ early January) and spring (February ~ March).

Characteristic of school

The school was founded 40 years ago by Yomiuri Newspaper Company to train automobile mechanics. Students can choose 2-years or 4-years courses.

It is 8 minutes far from Akihabara by train, in a popular and exciting area.

After graduation from school

Every graduate this year, except for one who decided to stay on at school, found a job in Japanese car dealerships. Read more »

It is a school where students can learn how to receive customers, as in hotels, weddings, travels, and aerial navigation.

Location of school and campus life

The school is located in Shinjuku and the campus is attended by many Japanese, so cultural exchange is widely practiced. It is the most suitable place for students who like to meet new people.

Among 70 foreign students, 30 of them found a job in Japan.
